Engine overhaul consists of disassembly, evaluation of serviceable parts, engine parts cleaning, visual and dimentional inspection, NDT, repair parts if possible or allowed, reassembly, and test run after overhaul. This work is performed in accordance with the overhaul manual, instructions, current F.A.A regulations. All the steps above follow the Mid Valley Aviation QC Program.

Cylinder Overhaul consists of cylinder evaluation, checking of the cylinder bore for wear and rust, inspection of the cylinder head for cracks and metal erosion, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, installation of new guides and seats as required, honing or grinding cylinder to specifications, pressure testing of cylinder, painting, shipping or pickup of cylinder.

This type of service is for customers that wish to do their own overhaul.

We clean and inspect the engine parts, which include:

• Magnetic Particle Inspection
• Liquid Penetrant Inspection 
• Visual Inspection 
• Dimentional Inspection
• Parts Polished

We clean and inspect parts by visual, dimensional, and NDT. When parts pass inspection, we install new bushings and bore the new bushings. With connecting rod caps, we use the line bore and honing process. With rocker arms after new bushings have been installed, we reface the contour of the rocker arms.

We are a Certified Level-Two Non-destructive Testing Shop. The type of inspections we are certified for are Magniflux and Liquid Penetrant Inspection.
